Mission: Pinellas Diaspora Arts Project, Inc. (PDAP)’s mission is to support the well-being of underrepresented communities in Tampa Bay by activating participation in arts, technology, media, and civic education.
We sponsor two annual arts festivals and an annual Family Community Tech Day that employs artists and educators as they bring new experiences to low-income communities.
We support community beautification/development projects that pay community artists to enhance the appearance of businesses in low-income areas.
We provide arts enrichment and technology workshops and classes, and encourage environmental and civic responsibility through art activities, panels, and presentations.
We provide no-cost artist promotion through social media, host online talks, pop-up art shows, movie nights, artist conversations, musical performances, and literary/spoken word events, and our live engagements have impacted over 3000 people in the Tampa Bay area since 2021.
Vision: Our theory of change involves using art as a tool of connection, that can bring groups together.
We use art, tech and civic education to connect our children, adults, and families with community-based artists, educators, health practitioners, stakeholders, activists, and leaders, to build solutions and support systems that will positively impact our whole citizenry.
PDAP brings together a community of creative producers focused on developing and inspiring educational, collaborative, and uplifting engagements for youth and families.
